Dododots, the pimple patch brand known for its colourful and fun yet effective products, has announced the brand’s latest milestones. The first is a collaboration with popular chat sticker character Quby while the other is a continued expansion of the brand’s presence through pharmacy brand Guardian.
Dododots recently revealed its Quby connection by dropping a limited release Dododots x Quby mystery pack which uses the blind box concept where the contents are sealed and kept mysterious until purchased and opened. Each mystery pack contains a random sheet of Quby pimple patches from a series of four designs.
Arguably Malaysia’s favourite chat sticker in messaging apps, the little white figure known as Quby is easily recognisable by its distinctive huge head, rosy cheeks and stick-like limbs. Stickers featuring Quby in varying poses, outfits and situations are commonly used to spice up chats or express emotions without using words.
The brand will now be releasing the Dododots x Quby pimple patches as a full collection that will be available exclusively at all Guardian outlets in West Malaysia and Singapore from 1 June 2024.
Each design style will be sold in individual packs and will retail at RM18 per pack.
Esther also said: “We would also like to express our appreciation to Guardian for providing us with a wide platform to make our products more accessibleto customers and are happy to announce that Dododots will soon be available at Guardian stores in Vietnam and Brunei.
“We believe that having acne and skin issues should not stop people from being able to step out of the house. The Dododots team has designed our pimple patches to be fun but functional – all customers have to do is apply a fun Dot that matches their mood or look and then go about their day. Meanwhile, the Dododots patch does its job to cover, protect and speed up healing while uplifting the person’s mood,” she added.

Dododots (pronounced doh-doh-dots) is a Malaysian creation and the brainchild of Esther Wong and Ethan Wong who both grew up battling acne problems and wanted others with the same issues to feel happy and comfortable in their own skins. The two science graduates put their medical biotechnology, environment biology and microbiology knowledge together to create these innovative pimple patches in 2021 during the pandemic.
FDA-approved, ISO- and CE-certified
The result was the innovative Dododots beauty patches that are made of 100% hydrocolloid material but fully coloured with various shapes and designs as a refreshing alternative to traditional transparent patches. The pimple patches use the same clinical-grade wound dressing material doctors use on patients after surgery making them not just fun but functional.
While the innovative products are available via the brand’s online store, the demand for wanting the products almost instantly prompted Dododots to introduce its own vending machines to offer on-ground convenience to its customers.
These vending machines made their debut in 2023 and can be found at Asian Avenue in Sunway Pyramid, MyTOWN Shopping Centre and Paradigm Mall JB in Malaysia, and Plaza Singapura in Singapore.
Since its debut, Dododots has worked with other brands such as My Burger Lab, Colgate, Cetaphil, Jaya Grocer and now Quby. The Dododots partnership with Guardian – Malaysia’s leading health, beauty and personal care chain – extends the brand’s presence to over 500 stores at high streets, popular shopping malls, as well as in the e-commerce space.
