Breast cancer awareness soared to spectacular new elevations as Hard Rock Cafe Genting Highlands hosted its day-long Pinktober event themed Stronger Together at the Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel.
Perched 6,000 feet above sea level, the vibrant community-centred gathering set a milestone as the highest-altitude Pinktober event recorded, bringing together more than 150 participants, hotel guests, healthcare advocates, and supporters in a united cause to highlight the life-saving importance of early detection.
A High-Altitude Lifestyle Celebration With A Purpose
Set against the tranquil cloud-shrouded mountain landscape, the event seamlessly blended health education with Hard Rock’s signature lifestyle entertainment. Guests were treated to an array of Hard Rock Cafe’s famous culinary offerings alongside an energetic lineup of live performances by local talents, including Ms. Puiyi, Mira Rizam, Kakak Jerman, Pakcik Chin Swee, DJ Alicia FireHeart, and MC Milo.
Beyond the music and dining, a standout highlight of the day was “The Highest Altitude Car Meet,” which gathered a striking fleet of showcase vehicles and automotive enthusiasts celebrating camaraderie with a meaningful social objective.
Breaking Stigma Through Community Healthcare Initiatives

The Pinktober campaign placed strong focus on dispelling fear and stigma surrounding breast cancer. Supported by medical professionals and community partners, the event featured direct engagement sessions, clinical screenings, educational talks, and interactive health workshops.
The comprehensive day programme also incorporated:
- Blood Donation Drive: Supporting local medical supply repositories.
- Health & Wellness Stations: BMI checks, advanced skin analysis, and health awareness sessions powered by Three International.
- Charity Activities: Community-driven initiatives fostering wellness awareness.
“This event allowed us to spur greater interest in one of the most common cancers impacting women and how early detection can make a real difference.
“By combining health knowledge and screenings with a unique location and environment of warm hospitality, the event drove home an important message while embodying the cafe’s core values. We hope to make this an annual community activity.”
— Jimmy Wong, General Manager of Hard Rock Cafe Genting Highlands
